This is a handy device for guitarists who are not yet accustomed to playing comfortably in diverse positions, or who need to play in familiar positions in a transposed key. It's always better to learn to play in different positions and different key signatures to improves one's skill. There is also the risk of damage to the back of the neck of the guitar due to access tension.
So, my opinion is that the Capo is a shortcut, an easy fix that could limit one's future development as a guitarist.

Dose the job, stays where you put it , no movement whilst playing,
well made I can recommend it , use it mainly on my acoustic guitar.
