How no to fall in love with the Ibanez LGB30-NT George Benson? Straight from the box played well and I have not set up the guitar yet. Not just beautifully made and designed although is a copy of Gibson' s ES-175 but also it plays well and after a while I feel is a very versatile guitar. I like playing many styles: jazz, blues, folk, open tuning, hard rock, etc
I love the Floating Bridge & Trapeze Tailpiece , in my opinion the best option for a jazz guitar, the tune o matic bridge is always a risk when using heavy gauge strings, the tail piece or cylinder will move forward with heavy tension strings so think about before making a choice. The bridge choice was my n1 one priority as I had a bad experience with another Ibanez with a tune o matic bridge.
The C/V shape neck feels comfortable for the hand. Fretboard inlays not distracting or confusing when moving around the neck and the pickups in my modest opinion have a great sound using an acoustic amp.
One pickup came dented so quality control should have spot it. You can't sell a new guitar with a dented pickup.
The guitar is made in Indonesia which it gives me a great mental relief since I am not happy with the Made in China products for obvious reasons that I will omit.
This was my best Christmas present ever and it came in time a few days before Christmas. Great shipping service.
