Surprisingly light
Smooooth 03.02.2017
This was purchased principally as a back-up guitar, though this model was in part chosen out of curiousity as to how an all-mahogany guitar would perform at this price range. Aesthetically the open pore top is more subtle than shown, and in terms of texture feels comfortable once well acquainted with the hands. However, the back is very thin and therefore I wouldn't feel comfortable gigging with this in anything but the most intimate of settings. The neck is smooth and plays well, though perhaps thinner than one might expect. The provided strings are servicable and sounded better once the guitar had been set up and settled in open-D ? though it doesn't handle a slide particularly comfortably. In this tuning as well as standard, the tone growls and is full of mids, thus I would recommend the instrument to anyone to whom such a sound appeals seeking a cheap acoustic for home/studio use, though to aficionados of mahogany interested in more than just the novelty of the material I'd suggest looking elsewhere. Though at this price, someone tempted by more expensive Ibanez acoustics in this style would do well to try this out first.

Good Guitar for Beginners
Sabbir 01.10.2015
As i wanted to learn guitar, did a research and thought this guitar would be a fine to start with.
Thomann were very quick on processing the order, and it came in excellent packaging.

as for guitar, i would recommend it to any one who wants to start of, it is affordable and has excellent sound quality. The picture may not determine the colour quality and beauty of this product. the action on this guitar was a bit high for my liking so i went to a specialist and had him adjust the action, it's now low without any fret buzz , and the neck is comfortable even for the people with small fingers. The strings that comes with it is of good quality, but i would suggest to use some a small gaze strings on it. i used .10-.47 strings and it sounds awesome.

I would recommend this product to my friends.

Sounds Beautiful! but....
TheSargKyle 11.06.2021
I love the size and feel, and it resonates so much! Has great control over dynamics too. It had a little bit of fret buzz on the b string out of box, and after some truss rod adjustment it sounds much better, but still has a little problems here and there on the 2nd and 3rd frets. But it plays well all the way up the neck other than that! Keep it mind you'll need to tie a strap to the neck

Review of the "Ibanez PC12MH-OPN"
Anonymous 27.12.2016
This Guitar, in my opinion, has been made very very well and sounds really really good.
I use this Guitar for home recordings (which a microphone I bought from Thomann). And I also use it for gigs I do, and it works great for both.
It has nice features such as, the pickguard, which has a really nice design. The Guitar looks really nice in general, it has a really nice wood, a really nice colour, and overall just looks really cool, and really well made.
The sound is pretty damn awesome on this Guitar. It has really good highs, as well as really good bass, good job Ibanez.
I have two other Guitars and this one is definitely my first option always, it's (in my opinion) one of the best Guitars I own.
One thing I don't like though is that this guitar is only made as a "OOO" body guitar. I feel it would be more practical if Ibanez were to make this Guitar in other body types as well. And yes I do realise that I could have bought a smaller Guitar but, this Guitar was just too good to say no.
So in total, I think this guitar is a great option for beginner and for professional Guitar players. I recommend everyone buys it.

I love this guitar
Anonymous 01.03.2017
I bought this one to keep it on a stand in the living room and reach for it anytime I want to play.
I decided for this specific model, because it's just freakin' beautiful.
It sounds great, looks great and feels great. For this price I wouldn't expect a top-quality, that's why I don't even care about some minor details that could have gone better in the factory.
For me it's important that it keeps the tune, shape and sound beautifully warm.
My kid also likes to play on it (she's only 1,5y).

Decent little guitar for the cheap price.
Anonymous 21.01.2017
Now lets start off by saying this guitar sells for around $150.00 here in the states. Is it worth that? No, it is not. I purchased this guitar for $95.00 here at Thomann and I felt that was a reasonable price for the guitar and I indeed was a buyer. This would be 29 guitars now. Now I wasn't expecting anything special, in fact I purchased it because I wasn't looking for anything special. I was just looking for a grand concert style guitar for noodling around with and just have sitting out in the living room. This guitar is perfect for just that.
On to first impressions; It feel cheap but yeah it is. Extremely light because of how thin the top back and sides are. So thin that I see a accidental hole puncture in the future but who cares, its cheapo china made guitar that looks good, plays well and sounds okay, don't buy this if you are looking for a full bodied sound. Its a guitar made for the home in my opinion. The fit and finish is what I would expect from a $90.00 Chinese guitar. Tuners were installed blind folded it seems, only one is correctly mounted and they aren't that great. The string nut had what looks like some slips with the file. The bridge saddle had the G string cut into the wrong place. Various spots of tape glue on the fret board. The fret board has been dyed with black on a portion of the board. Finally, the edges of the frets do get toothy the further you go up the frets.
Conclusion, Its kinda what I expected from a cheapo China made guitar. Im not mad in the slightest because that's what I knew I was getting. $95.00 or less it's a good basic player. So think about what you want out of your guitar purchase before purchasing and I hope that this can help you make up your mind.
I will finish with saying that the tuners need replacing and a good nut and saddle will make this guitar a good work horse for home studio/recording and noodling around. I already made it an acoustic electric with a active condenser mic'ed end-pin jack pick-up.

Met every single hope I had
Anonymous 05.07.2015
I've been playing guitar for at least 3 years and I've been working with a fender squier, it all battered and bruised and it's seen a lot of gigs, I never liked the action, it was way too high. I thought that it was time to upgrade, though this is a solid acoustic and cheaper, it's superior in every way, the action is love, smooth movement from fret to fret, lovely full tone, the bass notes ring out superbly, the body is nicely finished, the action is low and it's mahogany which is a nice change. I've only had this guitar for a short amount of time now, a couple of weeks and I've already taken it to gigs, any where I go, it's just a superb piece of kit, especially for the price, I seriously recommend that anyone should buy this, especially if you're a beginner and you want something really decent.

Good Value
Anonymous 23.05.2016
If you want a cheap but solid acoustic guitar it is great. Solid Mahogany sounds and looks killer. The neck profile is small but with enough meat and it stays in tune perfectly. Even though it is a smaller concert size the projection of this guitar is loud and could work for Busking. Great wood, Great sounding no frills guitar.
