It's a great cymbal, but it's much too thin. Yes, take that 'paper thin' part literally as it really is. If you're going to purchase this cymbal, bare in mind that if you're a heavy hitter - this probably isn't the best choice for you. It definitely cuts through in the mix when recording!

Istanbul Agop Paper Thin Crash 17"
Robert814 25.07.2014
After using the 15" version since September 2013, I decided to go for the next "Odd size" as this complements more normal crashes in even sizes. These cymbals really do sound PAPER THIN and jazzy with absolutely LOADS of wash ! They are just absolutely unique. The finish is of outstandingly high quality and faultless. They have wide lathing with deep ridges for such thin metal, which probably adds all the jazziness and wash. I'm liking them even more than I did last year. They also have a particularly pleasing "Full Steam" choke sound.

Tolles türkisches Becken
www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfIOiouCa30 14.09.2012
