Although I think overall it does deserve 4 stars just considering the quality and the price range, I am personally disappointed by this piano. It was easy to put together, even on my own, although I would recommend two people if that can be easily arranged.
The feel is great and high quality. Both of the construction as well as the keyboard and keys. No complaints there.
The speaker quality is also great.
The functions it has are great, I'm not missing anything.
However, there is one really big problem for me, which might also be due to having too high expectations. In the grand piano mode, some notes sounds VERY unrealistic especially sustained. It sounds really like a digital piano, like I'm playing an organ almost, instead of a grand piano. I am really bothered by it as I mostly just play piano music and don't use all the other instrument options. I want a good sounding piano sound! So in that area, Kawai has disappointed me. But also, I have high standards, and might be expecting too much for the price. I don't have much experience with digital pianos. I had a much cheaper Kawai CDP 130 before, and never noticed this unrealistic sound this badly.

Disappointed

I'm very disappointed in this piano. The sound on this piano is absolutely terrible, the piano sound is very unrealistic and unclear, it doesn't help the fact that the speakers are pointed towards the ground as well. The feeling of the keys also do not shine, feels very plastic and cheap. For this price range this is an absolute scam, you basically pay for the build itself, terrible piano...

Erstaunliches gutes SpielgefühlAmazingly good feel

The feel is really impressive for this price range. A lot has seemed to happen with digital pianos in the last few years. The 3x sensor on the keys probably isn't too relevant for beginners, but is a well-implemented feature for pianists with a bit more experience. The operation is simple and doesn't differ much from other digital pianos (Roland, Yamaha, for example). I was surprised by the pedal unit, which has a very realistic resistance. The sound is as good as expected, especially that of the keyboard instruments. As with all digital pianos, the strings are designed primarily for dual-layer mode. Individually they sound a bit artificial. But since you don't buy such a device because of the string sounds, that shouldn't be a problem. The workmanship is very good and the piano looks elegant, even in a not so large room. Personally, I probably won't use all of the extensive functions, but they are all well implemented and there are enough options for improving your piano playing. The setup of the piano is simple and you can do it in 30 minutes. Thomann packed and shipped the packages (as a set) very reliably.
