I had one of the bright lamps, but wanted something softer for home use, and got this. Happy with it, the light is fine for me, but I rarely play from sheet, mostly either large chord symbols or something I already know and just use the sheet for memory assistance, so I am not in the need for something very bright and sharp. So, cozy, perfectly lights up the piano and the sheet when needed, but if you need to read a lot of sheet music you might consider one of the bright models instead.

The two settings for low/high works great.
