Had to return - not suitable for Telecasters
Ed_D 05.02.2021
I had high hopes for this stand, but unfortunately it just didn't fix my issue so I had to return it. My acoustic guitar and telecaster were just on 2 floor stands, and I thought that this stand would help to save a bit of space.

While the padding is a nice feature and stops the guitars banging against each other, there were however a couple of major problems:
- The legs on this stand have to be expanded as wide as possible for it to be stable, which means that the stand takes up a considerable amount of space (even more that the 2 "regular" floor stands that I already had").
- Far more of an issue was that the holder is too wide for guitars with narrow headstocks (such as my telecaster). If you are very delicate, you can angle the holder in such a way that the guitar will just about sit in, but I felt very unsafe leaving the telecaster hanging like that. If anything brushed off the telecaster, it would slip down and be left being supported on one side by the lowest tuning peg.

If I only had guitars with wide headstocks to hang then I would have given this a higher review, but it simply is not suitable for Telecasters!

youknow.. when it comes to offering my guitar a good and stable way to lay low while not in use I need a stand thats not heavy as a big rock but stable and solid.

in fact I already had five k&m stands in my hs before. and after all my well known experience with the brands products I also chose k&m once more.

the 17620 double guitar stand does a great job for me cauz I plan to expand my guitar send with one e guitar (to use the two way function of the stand). for now I got a half accoustic guitar with steel strings and the cable plugged into the right bottom side of the instrument. for long time I used a ground stand of k&m. those stands are cool for unplugged accoustic guitars but with that cable I had problems and I dont like pluggin so I needed another stand to have some space for that cable when having my git unused.

its totally cool what k&m does. like I said I got six (including this one) of k&m stands and they ALL DO GREAT!! epic bottomline, thanks to the brand!

Strong and durable

I am buying the same one after year and half, cause now I need two of them. It does not take too much space and holds my guitars as it should. The protective foam there is a nice add-on, so your guitars will not bang against each other.

K
Great piece of Equipment
KC1245 03.10.2020
Used this for gigging as it is sturdy enough to hold two acoustic guitars and easy to set up along with the ease of use of picking up and dropping down your guitar, knowing it is in safe hands. Great value for money, happy the purchase.
Pros: Sturdy, Good height adapter, Added foam protects the guitar body.
Cons: Legs do expand out quite a bit to maximise the sturdiness, or else it wouldn't be the best stability wise.
Have used this piece of equipment in countless gigs and use in a practice space, a definite buy that saves time and a good piece of mind that your equipment is in good hands.

Solid space-savers

I liked the first one so much, I got a second one for my other instruments.
They're easy to use, fold up compactly, and work neatly both for guitars and for basses.
The grips adapt well to asymmetric headstocks. They look like they _could_ bump a tuning-peg if you hung a guitar on them carelessly, but it keeps not happening, so I stopped worrying about that.
I'm chronically clumsy, and still haven't managed to knock one of these over, whether they're empty or are holding one or two instruments. It's even easy to carry these up and down stairs with a couple of instruments hanging from them.
I've only used them at home so far, but I wouldn't hesitate to take them to a gig.
I find it even easier to grab a guitar from this, than from a regular stand, so they're actually encouraging me to practice more.

Fabulous Guitar Stand
stevemcq 27.07.2015
I have used this stand for quite a few gigs and absolutely love it. I play electric, acoustic and bass guitars on various gigs, usually taking two guitars at a time. This stand holds each guitar very securely and safely. My guitars include telecasters, 335, PRS, cort B4 bass, takamine acoustic..., the very clever clamp mechanism holds any type of headstock with ease. The large sponge cylinder keeps each guitar from hitting anything that might cause damage and the unit folds down very neatly. Most importantly, it is very easy to quickly swap guitars when on stage. I looked at the Hercules model but decided to try this one instead (it was less expensive), I have single hercules stands and don't think this K&M double stand would be any worse than the hercules double model. Great stand, great value.

Impressive.

Sturdy. Looks good and the hangers will adapt to nearly any guitar.
I am not sure if this will fit seven strings but it's great, otherwise.
The foam is also of good quality.

Top quality

Looks very good, quality materials. Solid and stabile. One con would be in my opinion that this stand is not too appropriate for Telecaster and similar slim headstock guitars. It can accomodate these kind of headstocks but but it takes a manual adjusting of "fork" while putting the guitar on it.
