K&M 19674 tilt adapter
pawela 09.06.2015
though initially I thought I couldn't justify spending this money, at one time I was pressed to reconsider usability of tilt adapters for loudspeakers. Because of space limitations I had to place my speakers quite high, and to cover front rows I had to use these. I had one adapter (different brand) with fixed angle, but it didn't work for me and I ordered a pair of K&M tilt adapters. Because of smooth tilt angle change they can be precisely adjusted for almost any situation (when floor rises, for example). Adapter is a little tricky to adjust, but very well made. These adapters help me better use my loudspeakers dispersion for improved coverage, and reduced reflections from back wall. And as it is also German made I can justify the price.

D
works great but only use with lighter speakers
DaveScot 09.12.2022
This tilt does a great job of pointing a symmetrical horn speaker down a bit but please note that it pushes the centre of gravity of the speaker forward so make sure your tripod stands can handle that. I don't recommend putting very heavy speakers on this unit as it's really hard to get them on and off while at an angle.

B
tilt speakers for happy band
Ben23 23.06.2013
Looks expensive for what it does but what a great gadget. Tilting the speakers makes a lot of sense for the audience. Also had the unexpected effect of meaning the back of the speakers point slightly upwards and so the band get less of that boomy thud that comes off the back of our speakers.
Well made and works well. Play with it befopre first use - the thing is adjustable unlike cheaper fixed tilt versions and so needs five minutes to figure out exactly how it attaches.
We use active 15" speakers and have not noticed any increased instability.

A
Ideal for Mackie Reach
Anonymous 04.04.2016
The K&M 21455 short speaker stand is ideal for the Mackie Reach but if you are not on a stage it needs to be tilted back a bit to get better coverage. If you are on a raised stage it needs to be tilted down for the same reason. this adapter is ideal for both and is well worth the money.

S
Ideal for angling speakers precisely
Steve84 31.05.2013
I use Achat 404 top speakers, which have quite a narrow vertical dispertion angle. When I'm on a stage, they can bit a bit too high, aiming above the heads of th audience. These adapters correct that by allowing me to aim them down slightly. The expanding mandrel is perfect for keeping them locked in position. A great problem solver.

L
Great Tilter
Leeboy 23.09.2013
This is the best addition to my stands case in ages. Nothing better than a downwards tilt for minimizing ceiling reflections in a bad room. And the rubber grip system makes it all super-sturdy.
