I like the fact that they have a triangled footprint - in a small studio this is important. My only complaint is that they could do with a bit more weight sometimes, to stop them from toppling over when fully extended sideways. But a small sand bag or other counter weight soon fixes that.

It's a mic stand, It holds mics

Overall as a mic stand it works well. Although a bit cheap feeling with the plastic thread adapters, it doesn't sag like a lot of mic stands. it holds it's form.

One of the mic stands I bought has a problem where it separated from below the height adjuster. this happened after only a few uses but the other stand doesn't have the same problem so it is probably just that unit.

Conclusion - Fair price if you just need a mic stand. if you want high build quality I would choose something else. It gets the job done though and I gig regularly with them. (I use them for overheads on my drum kit.)

Very simple to mount and ready to use. It is a very stable stand with a stable arm that you can adjust very easily.

The classic for good reasons

It's the classic and there sure are good reasons for it to be. This is my thirst K&M and even the years old other versions still are in good shape. They are just unbreakable and if - I can't imagine how you could possibly brake any part - there's a problem with some part of it, you can just replace that one. The price is a little bit too expensive though for you can get equally good stands for less. 5 stars for quality and over all impression. The handling is old fashined, it's a matter of taste, I like it. only 4 stars though for the high price.

Solid mic stand!

A very well made mic stand and a good value for money in my opinion. Stable, easy to set up, for the price that I paid for it, I really can't complain. I mostly use for band practice and recording session, it's not top-shelf but I would definitely recommend it.

Solid performer

I have several of these mic stands, and I am quite happy with them too. They perform well enough with most mics I put on them, though with some of my heavier tube microphones, they are a little unstable, and need to be counter balanced in some way. They lock in place well, and don't slip much, unless there is a heavier microphone on them. Easy to use, standard microphone stand.

+++ This is great solid-build mic stand if the microphone is not too heavy.
- - - I find I have to tighten the nuts really tightly so that the stand stays in the position want it. I'm not sure that tightning the nuts as is needed does much good for the thread.

My go-to mic stand

Easy, flexible, sturdy and good quality mic stand for a fair price. I used cheaper ones and more expensive ones but only the K&M's seem to last. A must have for everyone who owns a microphone.
