I bought this after a condenser mic was knocked over one too many times by an enthusiastic singer. The counter balance is perfectly weighted. It did seem a little pricey to me but cheaper than having a busted mic. Beware - the threading is not the same as on a standard boom mic

the neck where your mic stand goes in was a bit too long to work with the hercules stand, but thomann sent me several adaptors to try out to get it working, but no joy, i ended up cutting it off with a saw in the end lol, other than that this was a lifesaver many times

This is very useful, strong and safe. I use it for putting a pair of large diaphragm condensers over the head of a conductor on a K&M tall stand. Very well built, good stability, a great product.

I got the Microphone Stand from my local dealer (20811)
Then with
1x K&M 218
and
1x K&M 21231 Swivel Arm
I wish to put the microphone for recordin choir exactly above to the choir leaders head.
So hopefully this will succeed with this set!
It is going to be very long and is very stable.
Con - it is weightly difficult and a bit heavy.
