Got this as a Kick Mic Stand. Ashame they dont sell it with out the boom, because thats the first thing I did was remove the boom and slide it directly up to the Kick Drum.
Fits perfectly for our use case, but if you've got a port on the drum it would need to be fairly high up the drum because the minimum height of the stand is actually quite tall.
Otherwise really good and stellar quality as always from K&M!

Heavy and stable, just a little short

It's a great tabletop stand for holding up smaller to medium mics. It has a lot of weight to it, preventing accidental slipping, and the friction can be dialed in decently. The only problem is the length of the arm: it's somewhat short for most applications. I tried using it underneath a keyboard for streaming audio, but it doesn't have quite enough reach. I've looked into alternatives but I'd still recommend it as a good stand for the money.

Love this stand...

Bought specifically to close mic my marshall 2x12 and 4x12 cabinets. K&M quality, as usual, is very good. Stand is very versatile but the feature I use the most is to remove the boom arm and mount mic directly to main shaft. The stand has an adjustable height which makes it perfect to close mic a cabinet on castors with an SM57.
