It works good and I have used it both for mics aswell as a stand for my reflexion filter. Although not ideal it has worked for the later and very well for the former.

i also like the foot of the stand by which it doesnt take much space on the floor( another plus) I prefer these K & M stands over other brands because of quality and the screwing lock-funtion really is firm ( where I have experienced with other brands in the past that it has´nt worked as good).

I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a good mic stand for studio/project studio and home studio use.

Sturdy and space-saving

You cannot go wrong with K&M. Although this stand has a plastic hand knob, not an iron t-bar (which is much easier to lock really tight), it still feels solid. When there's not much space in your studio and you don't want to juggle with your stuff to rearrange the room for a particular recording, this stand is a perfect solution: unlike a tripod, it is so compact, you won't notice it until you need it.
So to sum up it is ideal for studio/home use. Built for years and years (if used with care).

These stand a great for use in confined spaces, I have 3 of these and 3 of the shorter stands as well. Recommend the 6kg base versions for stability. I wouldn't want to use the full boom extension on an expensive heavy valve mic but it's for fine pencil mics and dynamics
