A must have for metal bassists
Nikolaos Gkogkomitros 18.08.2022
I play bass, mostly in a metal context.
I use the Tyler for splitting the signal to a very compressed, clean bottom end (with an Empress Compressor) and a really distorted high end (with a DG Alpha-Omicron).
This is a ridiculously good combination in my ears. I used to use a Boss LS-2 for a similar kind of parallel mixing, but this was nowhere as good as the Tyler.
The pedal is build like a tank, there is no discernible noise and the sound quality and versatility is great. Though a bit intimidating at first, especially if you are not used to signal splitting, I found it pretty intuitive and didn't have a problem setting it up.
The only downside I can think of is its very large footprint, but this may not be an issue for everybody.

A great tool for a demanding musician
W.Stenvall 06.03.2022
I ordered the freq. splitter to add some extra spice to my bass playing and to really experiment with my sound. I also wanted to keep my clean sound intact while using some crazy pedal combinations.

As a signal splitter the pedal works like a dream. I've been using it to drive two amps (an Orange AD200B and OB-1) with different combinations of dirt/clean with the other amp also having synth/reverb/delay effects. I've been able to create some truly other-worldy sounds while keeping my basic tone intact.

The product requires some tinkering to get the most out of it, especially if the user hasn't yet experimented with signal splitting.

A musician's dream come true!
David5140 26.01.2022
These types of pedals (splitters) were not available on the market up to some years ago. In my case, as a bass guitar player, I use it to split the signal into high end - which I send to an overdrive pedal, and low end - which I send to a compressor pedal, in order to retain the bass frequency definition and prevent it from sounding muddy or 'flubby'. This pedal obviously has other applications for guitarists and keyboardists and the tone and sound possibilities are endless! Highly recommended!

Amazing tool for Bassists
Anonymous 10.05.2023
Been trying this for bass for a few weeks now, and I absolutely love it. It allows me to use a lot of fuzz and other effects, while still maintaining my low-end.
