Almost 5 stars!

I bought this to replace the heavy old PA system I had been using for solo gigs. It's made my job a lot easier and my back is thanking me!
The first system I bought had a fault so I had to send it back and wait for a replacement which took far too long as one of my returned parcels got lost in the post, so I was without a PA for 4 weeks.
I'm happier now I've got one that works. I can now fit into a much smaller playing area because this is so compact. And I don't need monitors any more.
The sound quality is very good and I love having the ability to adjust the sub and main volumes independently. I get a great vocal sound now, especially with the addition of my little sound craft mixer, and my acoustic guitar can be both warm and punchy.
I've used the Bose system before and I'd say that for pub gigs there's so little difference in quality to be almost indistinguishable. Except they cost about a third of the price.
I'm so happy I'm going to get a second one so I can link them for the larger venues.
I love the bluetooth feature. And the sound quality when playing music from my phone is awesome. These would be brilliant for DJs. And I imagine they'd be brilliant as drum monitors on a big stage. There are so few feedback problems. The only time I have a problem is with the low end of my guitar, but now I'm using a feedback buster on the guitar there's no problem.
It sounds best when the PA is more than about 5 or 6 feet away so when I have a little more room in a venue I put it as far away as I can, then I'm getting exactly the same sound as the audience. Too close and it's a little too warm and boomy, so I end up dialling down the bottom end only to find the guitar is too thin for the audience. I found a happy medium after a few attempts and now I have to do little more than plug in and play in my regular venues.

Excellent sound

I bought a pair of these to replace our old Peavey system which had been on the go for nearly 20 years. I spent a lot of time weighing up different systems for what we needed (usually a 3 piece band, 2 acoustics, cajon and 3 vocals but sometimes up to 6 members) and finally settled on the the LD Maui 11G2. I originally ordered 1 new unit and 1 B stock. I had problems with the B Stock but Thomann were extremely helpful and facilitated a replacement.

Firstly, the design. The system is well built and looks very slick. They feel extremely well built. We've had plenty of compliments and inquiries since we got it. The system is quite portable but the bins are pretty heavy. Secondly, and most importantly, the sound. It's incredible. I've used it for 3 piece gigs, 6 piece gigs and also with Ableton for electronic gigs, and the sound quality is amazing. I've used them as monitors when I'm mixing tracks in Ableton and Pro Tools and find them excellent. I use an old Behringer PMP1680s mixer and find it great, but I imagine with a top quality mixer you'd be able to coax and even better sound out of the system. We use it mainly for small-medium sized pubs and function rooms, up to 80-100 people max. Anything larger than that and you're pushing it and might want to consider the Maui 28 G2. One big issue I had with the system is that it doesn't come with covers for the bins and tops and they aren't cheap to buy separately. Overall though I'm very happy with the purchase and would happily recommend them.

LD MAUI11 G2
Easy Rider 25.06.2017
Having spent years playing in bands, the 4x12 cabinets, heavy amps, miles of leads, playing space, feedback problems, tuning, etc, this system has brilliantly eradicated all those problems.
As a solo performer now, the whole system is manageable, lightweight, with suitable covers for protection, whist delivering a complete, and full range of clear precise sound. I was dubious to start with , as i had never tried anything like this, but have no regrets now.
The sub speakers, and the high end smaller ones, have their own volume controls and can be mixed easily for each venue, and the power available is very good. enough for a large venue (500 people plus) whilst being able to set up in a minuscule area for those places that do not really cater for the musician. Equipped with a bluetooth facility, no need for tons of leads. It there was any criticism, it would be that it could do with another channel, as i need four minimum, but a small mixer is easily connected, and gives even greater scope to mix sound, and bring the best out of the amp.
All in all, i would highly recommend this equipment , for solos, duo's and smaller acts, over the higher priced Bose system. crystal clear vocals, no noise, all round sound coverage and easily transportable for the people who do not want to carry heavy gear anymore. 10 out of 10

LD Systems made our wishes come true with this PA
tormal 31.10.2018
We are a 5-piece band playing Hungarian folk songs with classical rock arrangements (drums, bass, 2 guitars, vocals). Drums are electric, all guitars are from line, no amps.
We have 2 sets of Maui 11 G2 and have paired them with a Soundcraft UI16 digital mixer + active monitor wedges. We saved all our settings which allows us to get on without FOH guys.
This PA system is kind of a wonder. First we use it in a small club to make the settings. Small place, small volume - but with its built in main and sub level controls, we were able to make a really good balanced sound.
The next time we used it at an open air gig with place for about 200 people. We had to push the volume high but Maui 11 G2s were able to manage it - we even had some complaints that it was a bit loud. :-)
Since we have used it in a small theatre and it did not leave us down. The built in controls are so flexible, the volume and sound pressure it can produce are so big that a band like us could not get any better PA for this price. I do not know how it would work with acoustic drums, but when all is electric then using this PA is really a dream came true.
One small item: when used with a mic and an acoustic guitar without applying a mixer it may seem to be a bit low in volume outdoor, but indoor it still will be perfect.

JP
Quality PA for the price.
JR Paradiddle 12.11.2019
I play in a small jazz combo. drums, double bass, guitar & vocals. I have tried various coloum systems at different price points, for the money the LD Maui 11 G2 is by far the best.

The build quality is first class, it fits together easily although the metal interconnects are a little tight into the hole when new, so I used some WD40 and everything fits very smoothly now. It's quite tall at 2m but there is an accessory to split the tops from the subs which is useful. I got that as well as the cases, these make it really easy to transport, it is compact and light. It is very quick to set up and take down.

I am genuinely impressed with this system there is plenty of power for a smaller venue and I think it can easily handle 100 people,

Sound quality is excellent, bass nice and tight with a bit of punch, vocals nice and clear through the tops. There is long throw and wide dispersion and zero feedback, we stand it behind us so there is no need for monitors.

A built in FX on the mic would be a useful addition for solo singers. As it doesn't have this feature you have to take a separate mixer if you want FX on your vox. Apart from that it's first class for the money.

Used to play with the older ''Mix'' model ,it didn't have that clear sound or sub ,but it never clipped,as it didn't have any Input Volume, like G2 model has.
Overall it sounds really good.
Hi-fi It sounds better and louder.Sub gives good power, while in live gig ,it tends to limit.
For Live ,you will have to add a maximizer or make a really good mix ,so you have enough power without the annoying limi led flashing .
Even when it flashes it doesn't really limits,at least didn't happen to me.

G2 was a hard time for me ,to find the right Input levels, and much work on mixer too, so i could have some more power out of it,but since i did it,it works without limit led flashing.
I managed to get a + 5.5db output without clipping, while specs say around 4, but still you feel like you need 3 or 4 db's more....but for someone listening at 30meters away,it sounds great .
This happens because the column is over 2meters , so you can't hear the tweeter if your height is lower ,while standing near .
I have a pair of G2 ,i just put them at the back seat ,along with my 79keys keyboard and 4U mixer rack .
I mostly use them in hotels, open venues.
For small venues it sounds even better.
I wish input volumes and bluetooth were Up or front and not behind the sub.
In my opinion Ld should give around 600-650watts on speakers and less on sub, instead of 500watt on sub and 500 on speakers.
Maui 28 sounds a bit louder, but G2 is easier to carry around.
I just wish they could give some more power.

A Lot of Amplifier for Not Much Money - Update.
GraemeSPa 06.12.2018
I have had this PA out at gigs now for a while and it has done exactly what I want it to do. I joined with a new band and for the first gig I persuaded them to use my LD PA instead of their 15" cabs-on-poles set up. They scoffed and brought their gear anyway but we went ahead just with my PA set up in the centre right at the back.. The venue was an open air pool party and the sound was clear everywhere in the area - audible at the back but not blasting at the front - no mic feedback. A wonderful system - easy to handle, it throws the sound everywhere and no complaints about being too loud or can't hear at the back. I can velcro my LED lights to the speakers too, saving on light stands. My one complaint is that the speaker and spacer are hard to dismantle for one person - you need 2 people in a tug of war to get them apart!

It does exactly what it claims to do
Michal L 08.02.2019
I have bought it as a PA and monitor system for a small band (mainly acoustic interments and vocals) and it works really well. During the last gig in a small venue the sound projection was very even around the place and resistance to feedback is much, much better than with a traditional PA speakers. I think that in its price range it is a really great speaker system.

Fantastic system.
Maz24 30.01.2019
Bought mostly for home use to replace an outdated clumpy PA and speaker sytem.
Pros:
The system looks so good, it can be placed in a corner and left there as part of the furniture.
The surround sound in our large living room is amazing even on a low volume level. Blue tooth connection to all devices has been faultless.
Very easy to adjust sound and base settings.
Sterio and mic connections have been straight forward.
Our Son who helped us decide on the Maui 11 G2 is a proffessional singer giging with his band on weekends and solo or 2 piece during the week. He's so impressed he's going to gig the system in a small venue this week, then buy one or two himself so he doesn't have to lug around heavy gear for bar gigs.
Pros
Only con is the small blue tooth button is placed at the back of unit along with everything else, which makes it awkward to access everytime you want to connect a device.
Overall we love it.
