This is my first purchase of a synthetic reed. I am very impressed by how easy it is to get a sound, and the lack of a sore lip from the roughness of wood is very welcome.
On the back of the packet is the following blurb:
"The Classic reed for clarinet is exteremely durable. With less tonal complexity than the European Cut but greater projection, the Classic reeds are ideal for students and marching band performers."
Not a criticism of the reed itself as it does exactly as described above, but I wish the following blurb had been printed on the Thomann listing. Had it done so I probably would have purchased the European Cut instead as I think I would have preferred it.
