I purchased another of these reeds as my original one was starting to "wear" a bit. This one is also very good, and is responsive. I don't think this one is as soft as the other one was, however this may be because I was used to using the other one, which as it was old may have got softer too. Recommended, especially for marching band / outside gigs where cane reeds may become dry and warp.
