Now u r thinking how it sounds? So was I. Well It does alter then sound a little bit, as anything u would connect would do, but in a good way taking off a small bit of transients. Like a compressor would do, but the amount is miniscule, and is kinda miraculous how the unit doubles the input and gives u two signals so pristine, without electric power supply. Also If it was active, it would change the sound so much more. As a passive DI also is a very good transparent/no coloration one. Kinda like the Neve and BSS DIs, and unlike the Radial coloration ones like J48 and JDI, witch I love If I want coloration, as It depends on the task. So it?s a no fear of loosing tone box, very well made, and I just give the four stars in finish for some bubbly details on the finish paint , but sending it back for that would be nonsensical. Thomann just sent this and other expensive non PRC with the items boxes floating and crushing around each others doing some minor cosmetical injury in the boxes. I wish they just put a bit of protection inside. But again not something that would made me sent stuff beck. In a peculiar german fashion the factory box for the lehle is very good but is so hard to keep using the box to store the unit, becouse is hard enough to put it back! I guess not many people would use the box to keep the unit, but still, they could easely improve this. All in all u get a non perishable piece of european/german engineering, worth every euro, and will give u more u paid for in sound quality. Unlike cheap stuff u will never regret over it. If u want stereo guitar or bass, or using different signals, plus a passive DI for free, (and there r more things this unit can do!), go buy one, and rest assured It will not rob your tone. Superb.

Multi-functional signal splitter
Luke-dool 15.10.2021
Bought this to split a guitar signal to an amp and straight to audio interface. Not only did it do that as good as I hoped but was also delighted to realise it can be used as a re-amp as its input will accept line level also. In fact, its performance as a re-amp proved better than a dedicated re-amp I had previously bought, showing barely any coloration or noise and giving a great signal level.

Passive but versatile
markkus 26.08.2021
Use-case for now is splitter to two amps at same time, but also the re-amp possibility will be tested soon. Because of the passive implementation, some scenarios are not possible like converting signals to Hi-Z (Guitar) to Low-Z (Line level e.g. recording input), this means that your receiving input still needs to be able to handle Hi-Z. Low-Z can be output as Hi-Z, making a re-amping setup possible (sending your recorded guitar signal to an amp). Other excellent features are the phase switch and ground hum relieve. I did have to look at the online downloadable manual, because it has more examples and explenation than the included paper manual. Build quality looks and feels excelllent, colour-ation of sound is almost impossible to notice when in an dual amp setup, as the dual amp causes more impact on what you hear. Maybe a blind test with individual amp recordings in a lab setup could reveal this, but imo this difference isn't noticable in a dual amp live recording setup. My previous dual amp setup with a EHX paralel mixer (with sends to the amps) was a lot more noticeable because of the added noise..

Completely true to the tone
TonyCultEx 19.10.2021
Bought this as a solution for sharing a single wireless output between 2 systems. It requires no power source, so I was skeptical but I trust the brand and I have been completely blown away. I plan on purchasing 2-3 more for studio use. Quiet, true to the tone you put into it. built very solidly. Highly recommended.

Genius little device
Lajbert 10.06.2024
I use it as:
- splitter for my recording, so I can hear myself through a real amplifier without latency and record the DI from the guitar
- DI box into my amp to experiment with tones
- Ground hum elimination for my single coil guitars that tend to get very "hummy" without this

And it works flawlessly for everything. Built like a tank and it requires no power input. Simple and effective. Lehle is one of the best, most reliable manufacturers out there.

Lehle P Split 3.
Chimevault 11.10.2023
This is a great well built signal splitter. It took a while to figure out which Input/output took which leads. The booklet didn’t have a simple diagram which would have sped things up. But it really is a great unit in how it’s built and you don’t need power.
