Helix sounds in a smaller and more affordable package
Archion 25.09.2021
As the other people have said before, it is a great entry to the Line6 Helix family. It sounds great and it is easy to use. The build is stirdy, especially the parts you touch with your foot. However I gave the quality 4 stars due to the knobs and encoders being a bit wobbly and I'm not so sure for how long they will last. Otherwise the design seems to be very well thought out.
The other problem I had with it that the FX-loop didn't work so well in stereo, meaning that after placing it after the stereo effects they collapsed into mono.
Finally I would give my 2 cents from the blindness perspective. I know we are a tiny minority and for most of the people it doesn't matter, but I'm not the only blind person who buys from Thomann, so maybe the following info can be just a bit useful. :)
It is quite usable thanks to the physical buttons, knobs and encoders. The latter ones do click when turned, so you can understand more easily where you are in the effects chain or in the menus. Of course reading the display is a problem but the manual explains them quite well. The only issue I have with it is that each effect modeled can have a different set of parameters and when you cannot see the display and they are not listed in the manual, it can get confusing quite easily. Fortunately trial and error when turning the knobs and listening with your ears usually helps. :)

Pod go Review
Leonardo Pratas 09.12.2021
This unit is amazing, sounds as good as the full-size helix and for most people is more than enough the number of pedals it offers in simultaneous use. Absolutely recommend, especially if you are looking for a cheap rig that sounds amazing or a bedroom practice partner.

GM
Low-Price and High-Quality? Come and get it!
Gustavo Magella 14.11.2022
Hardware:

- The pedalboard itself has a very well-made construction in very resistant steel in addition to very firm and solid switches. Which gives the impression of stepping on a category A pedal, such as the Kempers.

- The LCD screen was also very well put together and the layout of the buttons and their usability transform the simple experience of editing an effect.

Software:

- The pedal board software was very well developed, and it has mechanics of use similar to what they did on the Helix, which is very cool and very advantageous for a pedalboard of this price.

- Very simple to edit and assemble your presets, save them and even back up your pedalboard. As a result, trading effects with my friends has become a hobby.

PodGo Edit:

- I tested the Windows version and didn't find great things there. The GUI part needs some finishing touches on the UI-UX layer. Furthermore, it is simple and intuitive to use. You can quickly set your effect, test it on the fly, and save it to your pedalboard.

- It fulfils its objective very well in simplicity, but it is not one of the most beautiful on the market.

Cost vs. Benefit:

- To be honest, I saw very little difference between it and Helix (apart from the fact that Helix has a greater number of presets and even slightly higher quality in the hardware). So, if I were going to buy a new pedalboard today, I would go with the PodGO.

- In my humble opinion it was worth every penny, and I still think this pedal is being marketed very cheaply, for what it offers to end consumers.

Life-saving live rig!
Moskey 11.10.2021
It's super practical, has huge sound quality and it has a really cool price tag! It has the essential Helix effects, but in a small, compact and ready-to-go package. The fact that I can use it as an interface as well, and manage to download any plugin I want and upload it to the POD Go, is such a cool touch. If you're looking to upgrade your rig for the first time after a while, PLEASE get this. I highly recommend it.

Stunning piece of gear!!
ThePilgrim 28.11.2022
Let me tell you, i'm more of a "guitar to pedals and amp" guy and i wasn't a big fan of modeling amps and effects. After i read some articles about how far the modeling has gone and how close to the real thing sounded and after some videos i saw, i decided to pull the trigger on the pod go!! And i didn't regret it to the slightest!! The stock patches weren't so good, but once i started to get the handle of it, i was really able to sculpt tones that were exactly what i wanted and how i wanted them!! Tones from favorite records, or custom sounds that i dreamed about now were a reality!! I was totally blown away by this pedalboard!! The interface is really easy to understand and you will start experimenting and making custom patches in a few minutes after unboxing!! Furthermore this thing is really robust and built like a tank!! I totally recommend it!!

Very FUNKtional
Dave69 22.02.2022
First of all - I´m a pedal guy. But I also like this kind of multieffects like Pod Go. It is very practical, little, not heavy, just put it in the backpack and you are ready to play. Have a lot of everything - FX, amps, boxes and much more. I got Headrush before, also nice, but pretty big, and the sounds were a little bit plastic. I belive the Pod Go has much more. No, itś not a tube amp, but it´˝ s very closed. You can not expect the same sound, but you can create a lot of very good and useful sounds. For studio and live. The only minus is, when you change sound between playing, you can hear some kind of click. This changing is not smooth enough. Otherwise - worth it´s money.

Oh My Go(d)
Ands 17.10.2020
I still have my first POD, a V2 kidney bean and that was amazing. Easy to use and capable of some great sounds.

I bought this during lockdown to see how I would get on with it.
I had bought the big Helix last Christmas but sent it back after two weeks with it. Nothing I did sounded right and I had a real issue with people telling me I needed to buy commercial presets to hear it at its best.
For me, something like a multi FX unit should be easy to use and easy to get great sounds without wasting your life watching YouTube tutorials and buying someone else's presets.

Thankfully this is much easier to program. It definitely helps using the PC Editor from Line 6.

Lots of great sounds inside the Go, and I found the best results starting from a blank preset and adding what I wanted.

There is also an active Pod Go community who share their own presets which are sometimes a better starting point than the unit's own Line 6 made presets that are on the unit already.

Depending on your amp model the Go can run out of processor power meaning a lot of the higher end FX are unavailable, it's a shame and I would have liked to be able to use any combination of any of the available amps and FX within the blocks available.

I know the HX Stomp has a bit more going on upstairs, but it only has the three buttons and no expression pedal, now the HX Stomp is available at the same price as the Go, I'm thinking of getting one and seeing which one I like best.

However as an all in one solution it's hard to beat the Go.
I paired it with a full HK Audio Linear system and it sounded massive, especially in stereo.
It also worked well with a Yamaha DXR12 and Headrush 108 FRFR.
With the Headrush it's a brilliant, powerful and tiny rig that would take any gig in its stride that you could carry in one hand.

All of the amps and FX sound good, certainly a worthy successor to the original Pod.
It feels solidly built and should last a good long while.

I have heard of some users having software issues but mine has worked perfectly.

I'm looking forward to getting out and gigging this, I've had a couple of (appropriately socially distanced) band rehearsals and it's performed well. A few more tweaks needed here and there, but no different from any other FX unit, pedalboard or amp combination.

On the whole I'm very happy with it.

Good multi effect
Gossha 02.04.2022
The only drawback I noticed was the sound interruption when changing the preset. This can be solved by using snapshots, but it is not an ideal solution. Everything else is fine, I have no complaints.

Very practical
F.KRERYR 31.10.2024
Very good for handling , easy to carry(fits in a school bag) , good quality generally.
The sound is ok.My only point is i find it a bit difficult to make my sound when i plug it in front of the guitar amp.I dont know why but it sounds real good to a PA system direct to the console , but i cant make the same sound in a guitar amp despite i follow the manual.Maybe it is my fault , i dont know. But with other pedals from zoom or boss i did not find the same problem.

Bit of a mixed bag, but can become better
Matyas S. 18.08.2020
This is a nice little compact multieffect pedal. The sound is amazing, but unfortunately, you cannot create a patch where you use a clean amp for clean tones and use a hi gain amp for the rest of the snapshots within that patch. Giant con unfortunately. There are not much amps where you can do this type of versatile patch. If any. Also, the software is still very much filled with bugs, but there are constant updates, so not worried. The patch versatility will remain an issue I presume, but hoping for the best. I only use it for inspiration and creating riffs and stuff (being a drummer first, but also a somewhat-songwriter). This is more than enough for that, but not yet enough for the mentioned versatile patch. We'll see. The handling is easy as pie, have quality effects (limited number of effects within a patch, but for most of us, this will be enough), sound is basicaly HELIX, and... well... cute little thing. A pro-level case would be nice for it, but not any "official" one exist yet. I modified a THON case for it (Thomann stuff, so quality is more than satisfactory). Many have used it live, most of them satisfied with the result. So... So far, I'm okay with my purchase. Hopefully the updates solve all the issues. Recommend for writing, maybe not yet for pro-use. But very-very soon I will recommend it for that too.
