Soft nice sounds !

If you like making music and you also record stuff, get this shaker!

I use it almost every day for various beats in my home studio.
I've got another wooden one that sounds a bit harsh compared to this, but i really appreciate every little instrument, perc, etc.

Get it to spice your music by adding your own groove!

Love these shakers!

Previously I purchased one of the cheap plastic egg type shakers. Whilst that gave a nice bright and sharp percussive shake, I really was after something soft and more fluid, with the ability to really control the groove. This softshake is perfect, it produces an almost warm softness and having the two of them is great for two handed grooves. You can play them either vertically, horizontally or any combination to get short or long shakes, the sound is really wonderful and provides a wonderful contrast to the brighter and more crackling sound of the smaller egg models. Definitely my favourite percussion instrument so far!

Better than any "egg"

I bought these for studio use as an alternative to the egg shaped shakers which I never liked the sound and handling of.
These have more material inside and more space for it to move, so the sound is smoother and fuller yet still nice and bright and also it allows for more precise control, when you stop, the sound stops immediately, unlike in egg-type shakers.
4 stars for quality because the plastic feels quite thin, so it might not survive a fall onto a hard floor.

Excellent tone

Really nice tone, which is slightly warmer and as it is named, softer, than other shakers.

Great value, and lightweight.

The only con is that the rubber bands connecting the two halves is a bit weird. They can add some noise of the two shakers rubbing/handling noise, so I would prefer just one solid shaker, but it is only a very minor nick.

Suprisingly good for a budget player

I was looking for a soft shaker to use in recordings and in live situations and this one meets my needs very well. It sounds delicate and pleasant to my ears and feels easy to control. Also you can use them separately!

For this price - it was a good investment.
