My only previous pedal was a cheap Millenium one (which is still in great condition, but felt I needed an upgrade). I didn't want to spend 150+ euros on a pedal, so this was perfectly within my price range.
The main benefit in getting this pedal is the amount of setting up you can do. The spring tension and beater angle are fully adjustable, and the beater comes with a memory-lock system (which worked on the two replacement beaters I got).
The spring broke when somebody else was using my pedal, about 3 months after me buying it. Since replacing it (around 6 months ago) it hasn't been damaged whatsoever. I think the spring breaking was down to the person using the pedal not knowing what they were doing. That said, you can buy replacement springs here on thomann for about 5 euros each.
After much trial-and-error adjustment I've gotten this pedal set up for myself perfectly. I've tried friends pedals which cost the same or more as this one, and none of them felt as responsive or smooth.
Highly recommend this piece of gear.
