I recently bought a flamenco negra but all strings sets I had sounded dull on it, sound was not coming out, it sounded like a chamber classical guitar. I saw these strings recommended on a forum and when i saw them available here at Thomnan, i went to the website of luthier to chose the right tension : the pink is the lowest. I gave it a go : very good decision! . Now, the guitar is back to life, strings are snappy and sound is airy and also bites. The strings feel just wright, not sloppy, high strings have the right size, fit and tension under the nail.Thank you Thomann for the affordable price, my guitar growls and sings.I will stick to them.

Terrible, do not buy.

I decided to give these another go after many years as they have a new campaign saying they have changed, improved etc. They were appalling and what's worse is that after a few days I entered my studio to find the fifth string was broken. As a professional guitarist for over thirty years I find these strings totally unacceptable. I would not recommend any of my students to buy these and for a pro, forget it. Come on Luthier, surely you can do better than that?!

I have been trying out flamenco strings on my Yamaha NTX900. Never sure which to buy or the tension part, so I have been trying out a few brands and tensions.
Bought these as the feedback was good. I like them as the sound is bright and rich.
The vacuum pack for the strings is also a plus.
Pleased with them and will buy again.

Do try them, well worth it!

I am using these strings on a medium-range, Spanish factory-made Flamenco guitar...solid spruce top, laminated Sandalwood back and sides. The guitar was setup at the factory with D' Addario Pro-Arte normal tension strings and sound and feel was very good, but I was looking for a little more brightness without brittle sound. Luthier 20 strings give this brighter quality, but with richness for this guitar, and from use of this set on other instruments they last a long time in my experience, as do the D' Addario.

Keep in mind your results may vary, a lot depends on the instrument and your playing style of course, but I am very happy with these strings!

The 3rd/G/sol is a little "tubby" as many Flamenco guitarists will comment on about many strings, but on my guitar it is not so much as other brands.

I like that the basses are vacuum-packed. Trebles are not but all treble strings I have tried seem to not be affected by the same (reasonable) conditions that can affect basses.

Anyway, objectively I think these are very well made strings, and subjectively work very well on my guitar!
