Irritating in too many ways.

Firstly the locking collar for the legs seems to require a large amount of torque to make stable, which is hard to do with the small metal flap-thumbscrew that they've implemented to allow the stands to stack. Hard inside on a good day. Would be impossible in any kind of cold or wet environment.

Second the riser column collars seem to need more torque than my older stands too, could be the design - the knobs just aren't positive. You turn them, then you have to turn them again, and then you have to *really* snug them down to make sure the stand doesn't budge.

Compared to the older manfrotto stands where as soon as you felt resistance the collar was locked, this is really a drag to use on set.

The fact they clip together actually costs you more in storage volume than traditional stands, which will jostle and pack into a smaller volume than these. Just think how you naturally pack cylinders, and then consider that this mechanism forces the stand to become a rectangular volume in your kit back. Didn't find them pleasant to pack and unpack at all, they were a complete frustration.

Finally the little plastic triangles that poke out to facilitate the click-lock feature snag on EVERYTHING. They've already torn the insides out of one of my stand bags by snagging on the divider fabric and bringing it out with them.

If I keep these stands I'll be sawing those off and forgetting that they clip together. Ideally I'll be returning them and seeking alternatives.
