I'll keep this simple:

Why I bought this kit:
-Drum shell sizes (Shallow toms, 22" bass drum)
-SONICLEAR Bearing edge (45 Degree to roundover, which is historically associated with great sounding shells)
-Maple/Birch Shells (I love both woods)
-Purple

Upon unboxing it, there was no doubt how much care actually went into this kit. There were special rubber pieces on various parts of the drums to make sure no premature wear and tear affected the kit during shipping. There were tiny dabs of grease inside of every lug to make sure the tension rods went in super smoothly. The wrapping and packing of the kit was insanely efficient and well protected.

I was pleased with the ease of tuning the drums, and they sound absolutely powerful right out of the box. The finish is significantly more vivid and contrasted than the photos imply, too. It's more like a rich plumb to a gray dual fade. It's a VERY aesthetically pleasing drum set.

The only cons are: They come stock with Remo UT heads which are not great, and the little rubber gaskets on the lugs push the lugs out just barely too far and it may cause some seating issues with the head if you're not careful. And the white washers on the tension rods would have been better if they were black.

For a kit of this price I give it a 9.5/10. Once I upgrade the heads and remove the gaskets from the toms (and get black washers) it will be an absolute 10, no question.
