Unquestionably a classic amp!
and.con 14.06.2022
Had to wait a long time to get my hands on one of these, but it was certainly worthwhile. I paired it with a Marshall MR1960 B cab.

The amp produces sparkling clean sound, I really cannot stress this enough. Most people rightfully so associate these amps with high gain music due to its many ambassadors throughout the years, but I do think that this amp really excels in the clean and crunch spectrum.

That said, paired with the right boost/overdrive pedal at the front of the high gain input with the pre amp on 10 and the right guitar pickups; it turns into a high gain amp with impeccable sound clarity and modern sound.

When I am using the amp as a pedal platform I always use the low input and it works perfectly with fuzz pedals.

The only downside is the effects loop, it is noisy and it thins the amps sound. Did not find a solution to this at any volume (other than isolate it with the provided switch at the back side of the amp). If the effects loop is not a priority for you, then this is a 5 star amp! One would expect though that Marshall would have already sorted this out.

One very nice trick
JS from CT 23.08.2021
Not a feature-laden amp, although the loop works quite well and is an excellent addition to the reissue. A nice delay in the loop (SDE-3000) and an SD-1 up front (distortion off, level maxed), and it is the voice of 80s rock and beyond.

Powerful

Purchased 2 Marshalls 1959hw and Jcm 800 and very satisfied
This amp is very loud suitable for any stage, it's loud enough for any practice rooms keep in mind having ear protection may be good idea.
This amp has FX loop so you can plug delay reverb pedal into it, this really expands possibilities of amp
Combined with various cabinets it will give you all spectrum of 80x 90x 2000x sound
Don't forget about pedals like distortion overdrives and Fuzz-es
One more advice, every pedal has its unique plug-in method so if it's common to plug distortion pedal in front yet there are some distortion pedals that sound much better plugged into FX loop and vise versa some reverb pedal may be plugged into front and the final result will be different

A total beast, hard to tame
blacklava 02.12.2024
A beast of an amp, and a classic. Keep in mind a few things:
- all the 2203 reissue heads post december 2023 have MAV transformers (made in Vietnam) instead of Dagnall's;
- doing silent recording with a loadbox is possible but the output transformer is really noisy in the room when you play. This does not affect the recordings of course.
- The amp is crazy LOUD, the master sweetspot is around 3-4 on a scale of 10.
