For guitar players! A great one for the price!
agim lubonja 24.03.2020
I've been playing guitar for passion from many many years now. Using the foot midi controllers now that interact with computers and laptops softwares for guitar, I needed to have a exp. pedal to try some wah or volume (this do perfectly both), depending on the patch and chain of the effects. I opted for this one looking as one of the best in the selling list. The price also was very reasonable. Very very good! I'm really satisfy with the precision and how great this respond to what is asked for to do on the feet. Yes, don't forget it is plastic so press it carefully. I kept the switch at Others for the connecting. The pot it has allows to find the perfect max. and min. you need. Beyond this, it is a very good build pedal. Rubber on the top makes it feel very comfortable. It has rubber on the back and it never slides on any surface you put it. Honestly I am really surprised. I recommend this to all the guitar players that are looking to purchase a EXP pedal without breaking the bank. Thank You Thomann!

Definitely better than expected
DickPuound 08.09.2021
I was looking for an expression pedal to use with my multieffects pedalboard, which would only see random use as it's only for silent practice while travelling.
I was expecting a lightweight plastic and flimsy pedal but it's actually way more robust than what you'd think by looking at the pictures, also at this price point it's definitely a bargain. It does what it's supposed, it's cheap and it's possible to swap from TRS to RTS.
The only negative is that you can't use you own cable but for the price you can't really complain.

Does exactly what it's supposed to.
Team Sofa 26.06.2022
It does look and feel a bit light and plasticky, which I expected for such a low price, but I've been taking it out to rehearsals and gigs for a couple of months now, and I've had no problems at all. The travel seems smooth, the grip on the pedal works and the reversible polarity means it works with everything else I've tried it with.

I have to assume it won't last as long as some much more expensive pedals would, but then, even if I have to replace it once a year, it'll take several years before I've spent more money than they cost, so I'd say this is a very good deal.

Great purchase - very happy with it
Peter7354 14.02.2022
Great product which does exactly what I need it to do - build quality is absolutely fine for home studio work - but probably not the best option if you are a gigging musician.

Excellent value expression pedal
RichH 17.01.2023
Lightweight, perfectly adequate for the job, no need for me to pay more.

It may be that a heavier pedal would be more robust, this is just plastic, but seems fine. One point to note: the cable to connect into your keyboard or other device is hard wired, so you cannot unplug and connect another cable.

Cheap and good for the job
josebass 30.04.2020
I'm a gigging musician in Amsterdam, and I need to be able to move around the city and the country with as minimum weight as possible. These pedals are great for any musician who needs something that does the job without being worried if it gets broken, stolen or lost.

Use
I use it to control different effects in my pedal board. The pedalboard itself is heavy, and having to carry everything, plus adding even more weight to it, is something I rather not do.

Pros
They do the job! Plus, they are extremely light and inexpensive, so you can just use them without worrying if anything happens to them.

Cons
- They are made of cheap plastic, if you have a big strong foot that loves to break pedals, then they might not last very long. Also, if you are extremely dependent on using your pedals, if one of these fails you on the spot, then you'll need to have a spare pedal to get through the situation... in that case you might want to get a more reliable exp pedal, made of a better material.
- THE CABLE IS NOT DETACHABLE, if it breaks then you can throw it away.
- The feel of the pedal is not great at all, you'll need to get used to it (which I did).

Overall
If you are looking for something to do the job and don't want to spend that much money, then this is the exp pedal you were looking for. On the other hand, if you are picky about the quality of the construction/durability and not bothered about spending more money, plus having to carry more weight to your gigs, then it might not be the one for you.

Does what it is supposed to do without any issues
BenjaminJS 25.03.2021
Its a simple product and i was reluctant to spend too much for that reason. I was worried that this might have been too cheap but actually very impressed it works flawlessly for what i need it for ( to control the dynamics of vst instruments with my foot when my hands are too busy with more complex passages). Very robust i think it will last a long time and easy to use. Good product and good price

Good quality, great price.
Anonymous 28.10.2016
I needed a pedal to control my MWFX Judder and the EX-P was a great price. It is very sturdy for a plastic pedal, has not let me down and I believe it will take a load of home studio abuse (not that it will get it from me!). I would gig with it but I'd bring another as back-up - at the price I wouldn't worry too much should anything happen.

There is not a lot to it, other reviewers have pointed out its switch and offset knob (a Godsend in my case) and it really is light and does not take up a lot of space. For the price I feel this was very good value.

I'm not an expression pedal expert so perhaps my misgiving is moot/non-standard or just wishful thinking for the price. The one flaw I feel might be an issue going forward is that the pedals lead is attached permanently. Personally, I would much rather I could attach any stereo cable to it as strain wouldn't be an issue and I could use whatever length I wanted.

Very happy with it so far.
Pros - Cheap as chips, lightweight, feels sturdy for what it is and has all the features I need.
Cons - Can't complain for the price. Removable cable on a standard stereo jack would have been ideal for me.

A very good alternative
Edobedo 27.11.2021
I tried to buy it instead of the more expensive Roland EV 5.
Construction quality is good.
With his polarity switch it works with many keyboards.
Here is the list I tried:
Access Virus TI2: OK
Rhodes Chroma Polaris: Not working
Yamaha SY77: Volume only
Roland SuperJX: OK
Roland Alpha Juno 2: OK
Moog Matriarch: OK
Roland Jupiter 6: OK
Yamaha MODX8: OK
Sequential Prophet5 Rev4: OK

Not bad for the price!
