Optima 1747EL

When stringing the guitar and just tuning you can already hear that these strings sound very nice. When playing chords they sound very clear and full, they also feel nice to play.
But..
This only last for a few days, and I didn't even play that much on them. Which is a shame really, as these are not ¤5 strings/set.

If they lasted a little longer, they would be amazing strings. They are nice for experimenting with different string materials, but unless you are a millionare who can afford a new set everyday, they will be just that.

I've tried many different strings (nylon, copper, bronze,...) over the years and these Optima gold strings are simply the best, Tina.
Sound quality is heavenly and exactly how I wanted my guitar to sound.
My only wish for these strings is for them to stay "fresh" for a longer time.

I bought this set for my Cort super jumbo and after the first strum I was speechless. This strings sound bright and really powerful, I couldn't find any difference in volume compared to heavier strings, while having the comfort of playing with lighter strings.
Heavily recommended.

Bought these to try out.
Initially the sound is fine, but they loose quickly the edge.
Also I find myself constantly tuning which wasn't a subject before.
If you change stringed every few days they might be okei, but for hobby players like me there is many better alternatives that sounds better and lasts longer.

Optima gold strings are the new-ish name for Maxima gold strings, which are reliable with a great sound and very long lasting. I sometimes change to other strings and use D'Addario often as the most reliable and predictable - I always enjoy returning to these gold strings and love the feel and sound.
