This is basically a metal stick (with textured sections for grip) that can be mounted in a multiclamp and allow you to affix a cowbell, tambourine or similar item with a small mounting hole. It has all the qualities you might want of a metal stick.
There are more expensive ones out there - I don't know if these offer higher quality features. Perhaps they are less likely to shear off if repeatedly hit by Tony Thompson but in my case I'm pretty certain the cowbell will destroyed long before the Meinl MC-R1 shows any ill effects.
