The product in on the heavy side at least for me, so you need to get used to the weight if you have been using entry level plastic models

Great, professional standard tambourine
ChrisT 27.08.2014
There is a lot to be said for a quality tambourine, as a studio engineer it can really add lovely top-end sparkle to a track. I've owned cheaper plastic tambourines before, and they sound lifeless, dull and cheap. This Meinl is a great upgrade, straight out of the box it has a reassuring weight from the real wood and brass. The quality of the sound is just as good, it has a beautiful glittery sound and a nice long decay.

Lovely sound!

Pro, bought a "dry" tambourine with steel jingles, This has brass jingles and you can really hear the warm overtones coming through. Cons - none I can think of. Worth also buying the meinl bag to go with the tambourine
