A solidly built, full sounding tambourine
Finlay 20.09.2014
This is the best hand tambourine I've ever played, mainly because of how solid it feels to play. It is heavier than cheaper tambourines, which means it might tire you out quicker (update: recently I switched a different technique where you rotate it rather than shake back and forth, and I have been able to last for hours). The weight does make it a lot easier to get a good rhythmic feel. I imagine this is also a result of the "bean" shape.
Other reviewers have said that the sound can clash, but I haven't found this. The alternating jingle materials give it a really full sound, which I find to be the best of both worlds from the steel and the brass. Great projection and volume, and a musical sound.
The guiro style surface is a good idea. I haven't found an application for it yet but maybe in quieter musical situations where a solid hit is too much. (Drumsticks are too wide to get a good sound, use something thinner, like a triangle beater or the shaft of glockenspiel mallets.)
All in all, a musical sounding tambourine which plays brilliantly. It isn't going to fall apart anytime soon- it'd probably outlast several £5 tambourines- and it just begs to be played. Get it now!

KR
Excellent Tambourine
Kieran R. 24.10.2016
I love this tambouine! The two different metals on the jingles give it a really nice tone that separates it from other tambourines. It is evidently very sturdy! Just to let you know it is quiet hard to play quietly with but is brilliant when needed for loud passages. I personally use it for orchestral and concert band works.

Great sound - bit heavy.
Drummer Ize 25.07.2022
Really does sound great, loud so cuts through in rehearsals with no mics. I find it a little heavy, but I'm a drummer by trade rather than a percussionist, so maybe my technique needs work! ;)
