It seems as stable as a cheap lighting stand is ever going to be - enough for some LED lights.
And handling is easy enough, at least in theory...if it works...Quality control has let this product down.
There are safety pins which are meant to be slotted through the holes in the extending column. The pins did not fit the holes which is crazy. Where was the quality control? Don't they check such basic elements of the stand such as the size of a hole or a pin? This is a very basic requirement, as without the pins the stand would be unsafe and unusable.
Thomann have been very quick to offer a replacement which I'll accept, if only because I have used an identical stand before and thought it was okay for the job. So long as the pins fit!
So the stand gets a low mark from me, but Thomann get full marks for customer care.
UPDATE
The replacement stand arrived this morning. This time the crossbar mount is bent completely out of shape with a crack in the weld. As such the item is unsafe for use.
It appears that Millennium have extremely poor quality control, and I will not buy any of their products again, nor could I recommend them to anyone else.
I have lowered my star ratings accordingly.
