To be honest I didnt like this at all.. I only had a small condenser mic on it and the clamp kept falling off the stand! so unless your mic is a feather i would stay away!
If the holder had a heaveir spring it would be ok then.

Not for Drums.

Don't try and use it for drums, the "neck" is too long and inflexible. The clip doesn't grip well either, even with the lock nut in place. Wont hold heavy metal bodies mics but might do OK with lighter plastic ones.
