Great for space saving
stobbsyboy 27.12.2020
I had been using the standard 3 leg mic stands which were you cheaper type - the Millenium is a very significant upgrade, great quality plastic, sturdy construction and tighter tolerances, I mainly use a mic stand to just throw a 57 on it and latch my talkbox tube to that then wrap it around the main joint and leave it set up in the house.

The base is heavy enough to support a 57 or 58 at 90 degrees and half extension but a good knock will still bring it down so I'd only recommend using it like that in very tight spaces - the second one I bought is between a wall and a piano in the house as my partner sings and plays and that's how we use it in that specific space and is unlikely to get knocked over.

The height adjustment is very quick - just grip, set and let go.
All the fittings are solid and I think I've only had slippage once which I think was user error, with the tolerances being so good wherever you tighten it down, it doesn't slip over time like cheaper stands do with weight on the end.

Overall worth the investment if you have been using a stand half the price for years and looking for a very significant and reliable upgrade.

A great stand, better used in the studio than on a stage!
JamesMarshall 22.07.2018
A well priced stand that is super easy to set up and takes up a lot less precious floor space around drums or in crowded studio situations.
Of course it can't overcome the laws of physics and if the boom arm is full extended and the stand loaded with some big & heavy mic, it might tip over, and also the nifty quick-set & quick-release mechanism might not be the best choice for stage use with a singer who leans or hangs heavily onto his stand, but for studio use and with a bit of common sense & care, it's a winner.

it's a good stander if you sing standing. If you use the whole extention of the giraffe neck and sit down, the base will result too small to hold the weight of the mic (in my case a shure sm58).
I like the one hand height regulation method, very handy.
