Decent for the price

I got Millenium Quiheads for my first shell set (1x 10", 2x 12", 1x 14", 1x 20") and later on two more sizes (1x 13", 1x16") for an additional floor tom and a new snare, to replace the regular heads with them for my home kit. Overall, they are a good purchase for their cost. Below is a detailed analysis:

Pros:
1) Cost-effective: a good inexpensive alternative to the costlier mesh heads from bigger brands
2) Serve the purpose: extremely quiet heads. I play in my shared apartment, and never once did I get a complaint from my flat mates of being too loud.
3) Good fit: the fit matches the different desired drum sizes. The heads also have some headroom to allow for tuning high or low as per the rebound requirements.

Cons:
1) Not very durable: these onesbreak/tear more easily than others. I have stopped using the bass drum mesh head since that one broke the most easily. Would not recommend if you are these ones if you are a heavy hitter.
2) Different rebound: the rebound is obviously not the same as what you would expect of a regular head, but that is the case with mesh heads generally.
3) Reduced sensitivity to triggers: I play with triggers in my home kit and get the audio output in my ears, and I feel that the triggers are a little less responsive with these mesh heads in comparison to others, thus forcing me to hit heavier, resulting in con#2 mentioned above.

Overall, it serves the purpose of making the kit silent, and is more pocket-friendly, provided you are not breaking them frequently.

It works quite well

I am using this meshed drum head on a Pearl Midtown acoustic drum. I have to say that it does damper quite a good amount of the sound and it still leaves a bit of the tone for you to realize the difference between toms and so. Perhaps it is not as pleasent with the snare since it does not do as much the rattle noise as it to be nice sounding (perhaps it can be adjusted by adding tension or so, but I have not tried so far). All in all I am quite happy. What I do think is that the mesh heads in combination with the millenium low volume crashes is a good combination, despite I have the feeleng that the cymbals are proportionatlly more noisy than the drums.

Great value

I bought the mesh heads as cheap bottom heads on my acoustic kit conversion.

They are very good value and I would say cheaper to buy these than anything else on the market.

Overall the kit is very silent and the mesh heads on the bottom really help to bring the volume down!

Unfortunately as hey are beeing used as bottom heads I cannot comment on how they feel to play

recomended!

Quality nice thick feel

I purchased this as a replacement head for my pearl rhythm traveler drum set. Although the drum set already comes with silent practice mesh heads, the key difference is that they are single ply. Whereas this millennium mesh head (apparently thomann's inhouse brand) is double ply.

Double ply is firmer and stiffer and feels just a little bit more like playing on a real snare drum. The important aspect is that the single ply pearl mesh head wasn't good for use with the drum triggers (im using 2box triggit triggers). The single ply was too bouncy causing a lot of machine gunning (i.e. Excessive triggering even when the sticks weren't hitting the head). However this two ply head works well, although one still has to adjust the thresholds for triggering and cross-talk to avoid machine gunning.

This mesh head currently only comes in white, whereas my original pearl mesh heads were in black. i think the black looks sleek, with my wine red drum shells, but white is not bad either.

In terms of noise, these two ply mesh heads are slightly louder compared with striking the one ply mesh heads. However the sound is still reasonable and wont disturb the neighbours.

Really inexpensive, but not fit for all purposes
FilipH 12.12.2017
The price is ridiculously cheap, but you do need to know that single-ply mesh heads are not going to feel like the real thing. You need the extra layer for that. However, I did get decent trigger action and feel on certain drums. They are certainly a better pick if you just need something for silent practice. The rims are usually a bit too wide and sit loosely on the drum shell, but everything works fine once you crank the head up. The heads are quite resilient for their density and can take a beating, but that's the beauty of mesh. Worth trying.

nice practice tool

The head does a great job at reducing the volume. There is a huge drop in volume. The rebound is a bit different, but it is still decent.

The only issue I have is that the head has a bit of a snare sound.

A good value twin ply mesh head, I'm using this with internal triggers and trigger performance is perfectly fine.

Quiet good!

I like these heads and think they're as good as other branded heads.

If you're looking for a quiet practice solution they're great.

They have a good bit of rebound though so it's not like hitting actual heads.
