Cool features, poor quality
Zira 05.08.2020
I've tried a number of Millenium products and while it's obvious that at such super affordable prices there will inevitably be some cut corners, The Strike is by far the worst in that regard.

Let me start by saying that the pedal is extremely customizable - you can adjust the angle of the footboard and the beater, and you can switch between the direct drive and chain system.

And that's about it for the positives. Replacing the springs is a serious hassle (I gave up), one of the beaters got curved even though its made of metal, and a two tiny screws that connect the direct drive system quickly got worn out to the point of not being able to screw them on or off anymore - just some of the things that just go to show what kind of low-quality materials were used.

The entire thing seems to be built on a tight schedule as the pedal never fully felt tight and smooth. I guess for someone looking to try a double pedal or a direct drive without real commitment, it might serve a purpose but any sort of serious playing, I recommend looking elsewhere.

Awesome Direct Drive Pedal for the Price
The OMSCT 11.10.2021
I have a video review on YouTube, just search the item name

Tengo un review en ESPAÑOL de estos pedales, solo busca el nombre del producto en YouTube

I've heard mixed opinions about these pedals but in my experience these are awesome pedals specially for the price you are paying.

The overall feeling is very responsive, it may take some time to get used to the particular feeling these pedals provide and after some time playing with it you will be playing very smooth.

For the price, these pedals are totally recommended.

Ms
It's okay not great. long review but please read before buying.
Millennium strike pedal 02.02.2023
First Impressions were really nice, it`s the cheapest direct drive pedal you're ever going to find with a warranty. It's nice that it could be split into two single bass drum pedals there is a conversion that comes with the chain in case you don't like the direct drive. Pedal and beater angle can be completely adjusted independently. And a removeable back heel board.
There were two main issues when I received this pedal the slave pedal, no matter how much you changed the tension and will never feel like the main pedal. feels a lot stiffer and a lot harder to push down. Main solution was to put the tension on the main pedal as high as it could go and the slave to about medium to low tension. it's the only way that they feel the same. (Might be a bad bearing on the slave side)
Also, the shaft that connects the main pedal to the slave pedal completely fell apart on me, all the little bolts that hold one of the hinges together completely fell apart in less than 2 weeks of me owning the pedal. (you can see on the top second to last picture for the pedal showcase)
Please know what you're getting yourself into I bought it on an Impulse thinking that it was going to be on the same quality as the D-drum pedal which is a 1 to 1 copy of that pedal unless Thomann is the one that supplies that pedal to D-drum just with better quality control. Find it kind of weird that they sell everything from D-drum other than their pedals (take the hint).
I know budgets range different for everyone, but I think in this situation it might be worth saving a little bit of extra money and get a better pedal even some chain pedals feel better than this one. Decent for the money fast shipping a 3-year warranty and they'll give you your money back if you don't like it.
Edit: 2/15/2023
Thomann got back to me and sent a replacement. Good job Thomann thank you!
But there is a problem. The replacement pedals feel a lot better than 1st set I got. Slave pedal feels like the main at all tensions. The shaft now instead of fall apart is Dis aligned both hinges fit in the middle shaft, but one is facing out instead of up it twists the pedals one foot board will be lower than the other. Easy solution was to grab the aligned hinged and the use the 1st shaft set that came with the 1st pedals.
The clip that holds the beater becomes easy to be undone solution was to grab the old clip and put it on the new pedals. Now the beater won't fall out.
All of this tell me one thing (Thomann needs better quality control). I have 2 sets pedals each with their own issues, which made me have to Frankenstein between parts to make it good.
Now for the money if you want to gamble on it at your own risk go for it but if you`re the type that likes to buy something and it just works this might not be for you. I retract the customer service angle Thomann`s great with Customers. I still stand on saving money and getting a better pedal with a good reputation to back it up.
I still have to wait to see how the return for the replacement works, will update on the experience using Thomann for the 1st time.

Really like it!
Pelletmobile 11.11.2020
Really like this product, active drive.. out of the box works well, only grip is it needs two grips to hold the beater and not one, it sometimes twist which isn't hat you want. Still love it for the price.

K
Great pedals for starting out with direct drive
Karl_DxDx 26.12.2020
I bought these pedals solely for the purpose of seeing if I like the direct drive feel, as up to this point I had only used chain-driven pedals and didn't want to pull the trigger immediately on a more expensive set of pedals. This is a very budget-friendly set of direct drive pedals and they do the job just fine. The adjustability of the cam is a little bit jumpy and not precision-adjustable, but they cannot be beaten for the price!
The pedals are put together very sturdily, I play very hard and they handle all of the abuse without any problems. Now that I have been using them for some time and have become adjusted to the feel of a direct drive system, I'll soon be upgrading to a pair of Trick Dominators. But I'll still hold on to these as a backup, a quality piece of gear!

SP
At least it's customizable
Sloppy Pedal Man 17.03.2024
I'm not going to give a full break down of " I've played drums for X amount of years " or anything like that. I would just like to let others know that this pedal is hot garbage. No other way of saying it. I've tried using all the settings, which is the best part of the pedal, but nothing that I did helped. I've changed the beaters, I've changed the springs, I've messed with the angle of the beaters, the amount of slack for the pedals. What broke me was when I went to change the direct drive to the chain drive that comes with the pedal and I simply could not take it apart because the hole was not drilled correctly at the factory and the bolt would not come out. Besides that the pedal is hard to control at higher speeds and for me, with an average sized foot, it's not possible to do the heel toe technique. The pedal is just sloppy to play no matter the settings and maybe I just got a bad one who knows. If it was me and I could do this over again I'd just invest in a more expensive pedal from literally any other brand which is what I'm going to do right now.

A
Double bass pedal for heavy genres!
AntonV 06.03.2015
I needed to buy a cheap double bass pedal for studio work, but I was to playing with high end pedals from DW, and Yamaha so I was little bit nervous to buy such a pedal, but now I feel that this was the right decision!

Millenium The Strike Double Pedal is absolutely amazing in terms of price/quality. All details are very well made from clamp system to footboard. I have them for few months now but I belive that it will work without any trouble for many years. When I was trying others Millenium double bass pedals they all felt like very cheap and unrelaible instruments, but The Strike Pedal feels very solid from the first time you play it.

However, when i was using it like single pedal it wasn't very convenient for me to execute dynamically soft sounds beacuse of the direct drive system, although there is option to change it to chain system.

All in all wonderful double bass pedal for musicians on the budget!

Af
Quite good
Alex from Russia 15.07.2019
Since I've bought this pedal i tried it twice - at home with digital drums, and then with acoustic drums.
Pedal looks good, works well, like other twin pedals I had used before (feeling of playing are compareble with Yamaha DFP9410 I owned for long time).
I'm a bit anxious about quality of materials used for producing this pedal. It looks soft and unreliable, I hope I'm wrong. Any way, time will show.
To this moment i am satisfied by this equipment.

Update:
After a couple of years of using this product I'd like to notice nice quality of this product. It worked well enough. But there was one bad moment: difference between main and slave pedal felt a lot. I couldn't adjust it well. It might be my bad.

The best for the money.
TCKdrummer 02.11.2019
I've had this pedal for over a year now, This is essentially a ddrum direct drive but for the right price. I love the feel and long boards for double bass. This pedal has helped me out with my speed and control. The only downside to the this pedal is trying to tighten up the springs. It's not the easiest but doable. If you're on the fence about a direct drive, go ahead and try this pedal out. If you don't like the direct drive, it comes with double chains and cams to switch the pedal over.
