If you are looking for an authentic sounding and feeling Theremin, then the Theremini is not for you. This digital baby brother simply doesn't have raw analogue grunt, or conversely, delicate sonic subtlety of the real thing. If you want a visually interesting way of performing digital synth sounds or just fancy dipping your toe into non contact electronic noise making then this is could be what you are looking for.
The factory sounds all have something going for them, personal taste not withstanding.
Lacks a patch editor at present which limits its possibilities somewhat.
The styling is not quite to my taste, resembling a space radio alarm clock from the 70's but, for a piece of plastic, seems fairly well made. Being a left handed Thereminist, the lcd display is unfortunately on back of the machine for me when performing, but for Righties it displays a guitar tuner like indicator of what note you are playing. I'm not yet sure how useful this will prove in an actual performance situation. I would think your ear would be a better guide to tuning. However I guess it may be an aid to learning.
All in all, for the price, its a fun bit of Theremin-like kit with a lot of potential.
