This carbon-fibre case is remarkably light and clearly very strong. The two halves of the case are edged with a rubber seal which fits closely enough to keep out rain and/or dust and the locks operate smoothly.
There is adequate room for the usual accessories, rosin, tuner, cleaning cloth etc,. The shoulder rest is held firmly by two Velcro straps. There are four bow holders with secure turn-buckles.
The instrument itself is gently but firmly held in a suspension system which holds it away from the sides of the case, leaving room for any wrappings the player might use.
There is a separate music bag which is held onto the main case by Velcro straps. The bag will carry one or two orchestral parts, for example, but the capacity is limited, and those who need to carry several large scores or quartet parts will require a separate music bag. There are shoulder straps to enable the main case to be carried on the back.
The external finish of the case is glossy and will be easy to wipe clean if necessary.
The Musilia case is well-made and protects the instrument securely. It is expensive but if you're looking for a light-weight strong case, I'd recommend it highly.
