I use this as a back up for plugin my focusrite octopre adat in my 01v96i. Using my set up even for touring I prefer using a much stronger optical cable, but if it wouldn't work this little and cheap cable always stored in a safe place could save my gig. I would be even ok to set it up in the back of a studio rack and forget about it.

Got this after the more luxurious looking ssnake ADAT cables kept wiggling out of my audio interfaces... these smaller, lighter connectors fit much better (Focusrite Scarlett 18i20, Saffire Pro 24, Octopre)

I use to have some standard optical cables to connect some D/A converters to my audio interface, but past the 1m length I was getting pops and clicks. Not with these ones though. No problems at all in audio.
Great quality cable and connectors that stay in place firmly.
