I have been using this on acoustic mandolins for nearly two years. I have the 15cm gooseneck version that allows me to locate the microphone through the soundhole and into the body of the instrument The condenser microphone works well and I get a faithful reproduction of the instrument sound although of course this is also dependent on the quality of the amplifier and other equipment used. The flexible rubber sucker attaches to both flat and arch top surfaces but struggles to support the weight of a standard output cable. This can result in the microphone head being pulled out of position or the whole apparatus pulling off the instrument. I get round this by using a clip that attaches to the instrument strap or a clothes belt and supports the weight of the dangling cable. Myers also sell a lightweight cable which seems to be aimed at solving this problem. If you are only going to use this on one instrument I would recommend looking at the other ways Myers offer for attaching their excellent microphones to an instrument such as clips and clamps.

Myers Pickups The Grip Custom 6
Guitarslayer94 13.12.2021
With this pickup it´s just plug and play. It picks up the sound from my acoustic guitar and sends a clear tone to my amp. Great for live gigs!
