I use this mic plate with 14 fret national type O. In normal use pickup is good (transparent).
Real fun begins when you connect to slightly overdriven tubeamp or good pedal (I use Wampler Tweed). Unbelievably rich sound with magnificient overtones. Meanest and toughest blues sound and still so natural.
