I had to back-order this mic, as I think it's something of an oddity, but it's really worth the wait!
I'm a Voice Actor, I use the 193 as my 'Main Mic' for all types of spoken word recording; corporate narration, eLearning, audiobooks, audio drama and game acting. I also have a Sennheiser 416, which I use in my 'road'kit' and for certain other types of recording, e.g., commercials, IVR.
I've previously used a Neumann TLM-103, a 'standard' for Voice Actors, but, found it too bright and harsh for my light Tenor. I find the TLM-193, with a 'flatter' mid-range response is better suited to my voice.
My producers, clients (and I) MUCH prefer the 193 - for me, it's a BIG improvement!
Remember: The most important thing for vocal work is that the mic compliments the voice - for me, the TLM 193 works really well.
Usual super Neumann quality - a beautiful piece of kit.
