I needed a couple of optical cables to attach a preamp to my sound card. This is the shorter of the two... long enough to sit on my desk... I wanted something better than the really cheap ones on ebay, but was shocked at the price of some of the 'professional' cables. This seems to be well made, with decent connectors, and does the job I need it to do. No complaints.
