Having been playing a many number of years (25 now!) i always gravitated towards smaller but heavier cymbals generally, for feel and sound but also transport as i don't drive...after 10 years of playing pro i went into semi-retirement and started experimenting with different sizes and sounds, i found the Paiste PST X DJ range of interest but wasn't keen on the ride (i now use it as a crash) so looked around and discovered this, great as a mini ride, cuts nicely, my gigging set up now has no cymbals bigger than 12" with 8" or 10" hats...(i use 14" crashes in my studio) but again use one of these as a ride...i love it.
