Good mini-pot, small and short shaft, but works well.
Music Maven 08.07.2019
This is a good quality mini-pot. I purchased this as a replacement for a Harley Benton guitar; it's NOT the same that was in the guitar despite being a Harley Benton product! This is a very small pot! However, as the base is smaller, it's easier to solder as it get's hot more quickly! The full-size units need a more powerful soldering iron. It turns smoothly and functions well. Important: The neck of the shaft is quite short, and it *just* poked through the guitar's top, with enough thread to just get the nut on. If you've got a guitar with a carved or thick top, you'll need a longer shaft for sure. For scratch-plate mounting it should be fine. TIP: You should only ever use "A" log pots for volume & tone, unless you've a vintage "B" linear pot to replace. They just don't work as well. "C" pots are for left-handed players.

Trouble-free

My Stagg bass had two broken pots, this one is the replacement for the tone setting. Not much to say, it makes no mechanical or electronic noise, turns very smoothly and the nut and washer assembly is quite firm. The older potentiometer broke when I tightened it moderately, but this one is built tough and accepts being tightened strong without issues.

I suspect my soldering iron is getting old, and doesn't heat up as much as it used too, but the solder flew well and adheres to the tin-plated rings, no problem here.

I noticed no change relative to the older pot except this one is slicker when it turns. Very cheap but very good so I recommend it.

Rating well deserved

I picked this Harley Benton 500k Potentiometer to use in my second guitar - cheap-ish strat knockoff. At least it was. Now it has custom painting, reworked wiring, added shielding and a paint job. So choosing this pot is consistent with staying cheap but with a flavour.

Schema on product page was very detailed with all the measurements, so I was sure that it will fit my guitar - no surprises fitting it on pickguard, soldering wiring and refitting cap.

Pot itself has smooth action, absolutely no scratchiness can be heard when turning - I use it for volume.

Build quality is also commendable. Body is smooth, no rough edges.

The only negative is psychological - its cheap - probably would not stick into my primary guitar, but for secondary - a no brainer.

It does work perfectly. Only problem was.that it's a little too short for my Ibanez guitar but luckily I could fit it.

Low cost doesn't mean low performance

I bought this Harley Benton 500k Potentiometer for a two pickup La Cabronita project. I'd set a target of building to low budget so I could spend more money on pickups, body and neck.

I chose this because I'd very happy with the Harley Benton range and have always found that the quality id way above the price point.

install was not a problem, the threads are in good shape which can't always be said for cheaper pots.

build quality is great. the turning action is smooth but just stiff enough for minor adjustments while playing making it easy to roll off the volume accurately.

Ive purchased a few Harley Benton parts for this build and would definitely do so again.

Better than expected
Trying to be frank 15.02.2014
I bought this potentiometer to use in a home built guitar volume pedal as my amp goes from silent to LOUD when adjusting the volume from 0 to 1. This box would be used for finer control. It has worked great using this potentiometer, the volume curve seems smooth and there is no scratching sounds when adjusting it. Will buy more for future projects.

Used in a very crowded ibanez rg550 cavity
pro's:
-Small format
-cheap
-Sound is good

cons:
-not as easy to solder as some more expensive pots.

Tip: Make some scratches in the top with an exacto knife, this will cause the solder for your ground wires to attach much faster and better.

A quality pot for a good price
tomtomssi 16.02.2018
I ordered a few of these and the 250k ones as well. They are priced well and each one comes in a separate plastic bag.

I use these 500k ones to brighten up my single coils. Its an acquired taste but you get a clear glassy or even metallic (not the genre) type of sound.

I tend to buy a few extra when ordering just in case.

Great Potentiometers
Mauricer1 02.09.2020
I used these potentiometers for several guitars and have to say, these are just fine. In terms of sound quality or sturdyness, there's no need to go for more expensive ones.
