Harley Benton Parts Toggle Switch Gold

This is one big chunker of a switch. I bought this to replace the switch on a cheap Squier Mustang and it fit perfectly into the small body cavity without any issues. However I must say it does take a little bit more effort than usual to flip the switch from one position to the next. Perhaps itll soften up over time. I cant fault HB for their build quality at all; this switch could probably go to war.

Only thing good about this switch is the looks, it looks great!

I wanted to swap my switch out on my Harley Benton 90 QM.
After installing everything how it’s supposed to, the switch didn’t work, I rewired it 3 times to no avail.
When I took the switch apart to see what was wrong this is what I saw: the insulation material was the worst I’d ever seen and the switch didn’t switch right! Well, I made it work after all and it works fine now, but it was a hassle!


Could be that I just received a broken one, Harley Benton has that sometimes…

There isnt really much to say about this switch, other than this:

It's great value for the price, and it's in much better quality than even what Gibson puts in their guitars.

The switch' action feels crisp and precise, and though it's a bit stiff brand new, it gets a nice and smooth movement after a short while.

If you need a new switch, this is a good one for the price!

The lowprice made me choose it over a Switchcraft. I regret my purchase, after only one month the toggle is showing signs of wear. Switching between pickups isn't smooth, there is a lot of click noise when switching and the bridge pickup position doesn't always go on, even though everything is wired correctly. To avoid at all cost. Save up for a higher quality toggle switch.

This switch turned out to be the identical to the original switch in my Epiphone, and suffers from the same problem: it's very sensitive in the middle position, so the least touch interrupts the signal. This can be fixed to some extent with careful adjustment before fitting, but I'm still on the lookout for something better.

I was reading in other reviews that the switch doesn't stay very tight on the middle position. I didn't face this issue so far. Fitted my ESP eclipse perfectly. Really good looking switch, easy to solder and without any hisses during pickup changes.

I took this switch to replace mine on the ESP SV Standard that was quite old and rusty.
The gold color is really nice.
The only "problem" of this switch, is that when the switch is set in the middle (using both pickups) the toggle moves a little, which is not really an issue, but is not let's say "fixed" and stable like what it does when is set on the other 2 positions.

Used to replace the original switch of my Epiphone Rivera P93. Worked perfectly well, still works now after 2 years. Better than the original Epiphone toggle switch.

This switch is very solid. The click has just the right amount of resistance for me and the switch tip fits perfectly.

It does exactly what its supposed to, need i say more?

Bought this for my 82 ibanez AR300. The gold plate matches the original gold from the guitar, so no issues here. The rocking action feels solid, and no problems during soldering. This was the closest to the original I could get without spending a ton of money. A great product and great value for money!
