This was my first time using good quality cables for my bedroom rig (guitar - 3 pedals - Boss GS-10) and it was a real eye opener.
The difference in sound from my 10 year old cheap cables to a full set of high quality cables was night and day. Very clear and pure tone.
I use the above set as patch cables between my pedals and the GS-10. The solder-less system is very good and quick to put together. I had everything setup in about 10 minutes and they feel solid.
However while creating them I found 2 of the connectors to be faulty, one was missing a pin on the inside. I contacted Thomann and replacements were sent out to me about a week later. Perhaps some extra care is needed when checking the connectors before they leave the factory.
Pros:
Quality sound
Cons:
Quality control
Would I buy again:
If the QC was improved, yes.

Good Quality

Very good quality, but its a little too bulky. If you have a lot of space on your pedalboard, no problem.

Good quality and easy to use.

This cable system is very easy to use and comes with everything you need and clear instructions.
Used to wire my pedalboard and I was impressed with the results. Being able to have custom lengths is very useful and meant that I could arrange pedals on the board in an arrangement that was easy to use rather than just in signal chain order. Useful so that I could have more used pedals or those that need to be turned on and off during songs (ie delay, looper) at the front of the board.
Cable sound quality seems excellent as does build quality (even though I put them together myself).
Price was slightly cheaper on Thomann than I could find in the UK but I still think this is an expensive product for what you get.
Overall very pleased with product and service.

Easy and handy

Bought these for my first pedalboard, mixed them with a few older cheaper cables I was already using.
The assembly was very quick and simple so they ended up being perfect for the job.
I'm seeing some comments on their quality control but as far as the ones I used went, everything worked fine.
I guess for the price, a couple more pairs of connectors included would be better. But so far after a year, nothing has died on me, unlike some of the cheaper ones.

Good quality and good sounding
Anonymous 27.03.2014
The planet wave pedal kit is really useful for anyone's pedalboard. The fact that you can cut each cable to a specific length makes planning your pedalboard much easier, instead of having to work with cables too long or too short. Assembly is very easy and I haven't had any problems with cables breaking for no reason.
As far as sound quality, you can always trust planet wave for a good sounding cable. So far there has been no treble or bass roll off from the cable and it doesn't introduce any weird buzz or hum to your sound which is maddening when you don't know where it's coming from.
This product is a great alternative for someone who doesn't want to go for pre-made patch cables or the stress of making soldered cables.
