Bought this as an affordable SM7B alternative and honestly I'm quite happy with it. I have no experiences with podcasts/broadcasting, but I love dynamics for vocals and this one is a really cool take on a classic desing. It is not the same SM7B, so have realistic expectations, but it works really well on certain types of vocals (suits my voice really well), I also got really good results on guitar/bass cabs.
It has a bit more going on in the high end comapred to the SM7B and you'll either like it or dislike it, but I think it sounds good in it's own right.
Build quality is top notch, built like a tank! Heavy, metal construction, no give in the mesh and the windscreen works as intended.
The only cons are the absence of EQ switches and the foul smell of the windscreen, right out the box. The former is reasonable for the price though and doesn't take away much from the overall use of the mic, but the windscreen needs quite some time to gas off the smell before it's comfortable to put right up in your face...
All in all a pretty good mic for the money, I figure it'll get quite some use in the studio. Recommended!
