Protec Deluxe Portable Audio Rec Case

Bought this to protect my Zoom H4n and its accessories, and I'm very happy with my purchase. Does its job perfectly, as the inside compartment is sufficiently large to keep my Zoom and some accessories like the windscreen, the power supply and some cables, it's very cushiony, and the back of the case is perfectly rigid, allowing me to be sure that nothing will happen to my recorder and its bundle if some accident occurs. The outside compartments are also quite nice, with loads of space to those smaller but super important accessories, like batteries, remote control, sd cards, cables, etc. Aesthetically is quite nice, too!

This is a really nice case (even visually) that will protect your recorder or similary sized object from outer world. The main compartment can be adjusted as it has removable foams to fit your desired object (I have there Zoom H4N and a remote controller). Smaller compartment has a lot of space for additional batteries, pens,tuners, tripod..on the other side there is an elastic pocket which come very handy for some even smaller stuff. It has a rain cover for maximum protection against water…the material is quality naylon and after using it for almost two years I can slightly see the wear on the material.

I bought this as a bundle with the Zoom H5 recorder. The zoom fits diagonally without the hardcase, but OK with the protector handling case (PCH 5). This seems a bit weird at first but when you place it that way the rubber mounted capsules can't get squashed. I wish it was a bit more roomy. The dividers are left out for the zoom H5. People reporting that they can fit it in with the zoom hard case must be ramming it in, there is no way.
If I knew it was a bit small I would have just bought the Zoom h5 on its own and went to a camera store to fit cases.

I am fitting in the main compartment: zoom h5 + PCH-5 case (mics mounted), wind/pop-foam screen. In the front compartment: 4x AA battery, gorillapod 500, powerbank, usb cable (could fit another cable). All in all a decent case, I wasn't sure how to fit the zoom in at first so I edited my review.

Superficial, but it looks good and feels good. 5 stars for quality.

The zips and straps feel sturdy and reliable. I would be surprised if they break. 5 stars for handling.

I abuse this bag in terms of what I carry.

Here's what I put in the case: A Zoom H5, wind shield, power pack, a pencil mic, a tripod, a grip, a small XLR cable, small note pad, pen, spare SD card and a small goose-neck connector. It's a tight fit, but it does fit.

So for comfort, I have to give it 5 stars.

If you want to carry around a similar amount of things to what I do, I might recommend getting something larger. However, this is not a fault with the product itself, but rather me for not doing my due diligence. I deduct two stars from my own brain.
