Great value

Nut width 45mm+ , string spacing at saddle 57.7mm, scale length 24.9". As a fingerstyle player who enjoys attempting some challenging arrangements I wanted to try playing a guitar with the above neck dimensions but the market has not served me well, the only alternatives available are just two guitars both costing £3000+.
This guitar fills the huge gap very well, the soft V neck fits my hand fine and I can now play thumb wrap chords up to the 8th fret without stressing the thumb joint. The sound is good with decent projection and volume. Mahogany does not produce the louder trebles of Rosewood but the sound volume is more ballanced across the strings and easier to controll .
I like to tune a semi tone bellow standard and combined with the short scale means I can use 13 gauge strings, these produce a fuller sound than 12s at standard tuning.
Action at the saddle is medium but I lowered my saddle slightly and there is still saddle height to adjust very low if required.
Action at the nut was a bit high. Using rubber bands to hold 1.2mm shims behind the nut I filed the slots down to the metal shims and now it's much easier to play without a capo.
The scratch plate is too big and ugly, I peeled it off and rubbed away the glue with my thumb and a cloth with very hot soapy water.
Overall I think this guitar is a great bargain if you want short scale and wider string spacing.
