I'm using the Fiberskyn 3 on a Surdo drum with a Remo control ring and it sounds
fantastic! I use the Surdo as part of a set and with this head I can play more articulated patterns without loosing the rich bass tone.

Bought for my Tama Club Jam. Love it. Great warm tone. Perfect for jazzy lounge type settings with a solid (non-porthole reso). Playing more rocky / reggae material it is still punchy but needs to be use with a reso head that has a port hole.
A great middle-ground solution between Ambassador and Emperor

I am currently using this Fiberskyn 3 as a resonant head with no dampening and it sounds great. Brilliant quality as always for Remo. Easy to tune and aesthetically very pleasing.
