Sound quality and durability are always trade offs in drum heads. The Ambassador is not Remo's most durable but it is their best sound quality head period. If you are looking for a very durable, long lasting drum head you'll most likely look for the thickest plys available. If you are looking for the best sound out of your snare (my needs), you'll most likely not look for the thickest ply and go with a thinner ply head. The Ambassador is not Remo's thickest or thinnest head as they offer a thinner version for more of a concert band type. This head is perfect for me in my rock band and I bang pretty hard. The Ambassador is very durable for the ply thickness but the sound is the best offering from this drum head. Remo drum heads are always top notch and they are made in the USA! Good heads. They are exactly what you expect. Just some solid good drum heads. Been using them for 3 or so months and still tunable and working well.

Remo has never disappointed me. The heads hold the tuning and have a very wide range of tuning. They are also very durable and reliable. Overall, guaranteed satisfaction.

No problems with this. Clear, articulate and punchy sounding. Love it.
